Son

As well as a sister, I am blessed with two wonderful parents who have, in all aspects of the word, created me. I owe my life and everything I am to them. They have been extremely supportive in all my endeavors, and I am very thankful.

My mother is from Minnesota, from a massive family of ten brothers and sisters. Her mother had nine brothers so there are hundreds of relatives on that side of the family and I thoroughly enjoy our 4th of July week we spend there every summer. My mother is devoted to providing a loving and supportive environment for me and Amanda. She never gets angry (maybe once every few years), is always calm and reassuring and loving. My father says she is the best person he has ever known and I think that may turn out to be true of my life as well.

Other kids might struggle or beg to get a tennis coach, my father insists that I have as many coaches and lessons as I can handle. He is a 5th degree black belt in karate and a highly accomplished businessperson. He respects and fosters discipline in every area of my life, constantly and lovingly helping me to be the best I can be (even when I don’t want him to do so J).

My parents were born with a challenged economic background and have built one heck of a life. But my father says that my most important job, as was his, is to: “improve on the next generation.” So he has devoted himself to seeing Amanda and me excel on every front. And while I would say that Amanda and I are driven and passionate about our goals we also know how to have fun and how to prioritize and put love and emotional health above all else.
